As of this writing, the 2020 presidential election is still too close to call, with several battleground states still tabulating results, especially from the wave of mail-in ballots received this year due to the pandemic.

Here is what we do know: the results will be close either way.

How is this possible, though? After all, Trump is inherently reviled by a huge swath of the country, with many conservative voters jumping ship to Biden because they couldn’t stand the thought of a second Trump term, even if that meant a victory for the Democrats. …

My mail-in ballot has been sitting on my desk for over a month now, collecting dust as I wrestle with a difficult decision: should I succumb to the establishment threatening me with another four years of Trump by voting for Joe Biden, or should I vote my conscience and cast my ballot for Howie Hawkins, the 2020 Green Party candidate?

After much debate, I have made my decision.

I will support Hawkins at the ballot box.

My antipathies for Joe Biden are not new; for those who’ve read my earlier articles, you are familiar with the multitude of critiques I’ve shared about the former vice president. Indeed, I wrote a regularly-updated, 7,000 plus word article documenting all the reasons why I couldn’t support him earlier this year, posted updates regarding the credible sexual assault accusations made by Tara Reade against him, and published various other pieces dismantling the case for a Biden presidency. …

Protesters on 35-W in the Twin Cities, moments before a semi-truck barreled towards them (source).

Since Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd last week, Minneapolis and St. Paul have been in upheaval. While outside domestic right-wing terrorists have been busy burning down numerous buildings, likely including the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct headquarters, police officers have been disproportionately responding to peaceful protesters with violent force, attacking them with tear gas and rubber bullets.

This is a trend that we’ve been seeing all across the United States, where dozens of major protests have broken out demanding police reform and accountability, and while Chauvin was recently arrested, there is still a long way to go until justice is truly served on behalf of Floyd’s family. …

As the presumptive Democratic nominee, Biden has been attempting to stay out of the media spotlight, probably on behest of cautious campaign advisors who know that the guy is a walking gaffe magnet who says something dumb every time he opens his mouth.

Well, they weren’t wrong.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club yesterday, Joe Biden got into a heated conversation with Charlamagne Tha God, the host of the program, on a number of issues relating to race. …

The scandal that continues rocking the Biden campaign involves the credible allegation made by Tara Reade, a former staffer in Biden’s Senate office, that he sexually assaulted her in 1993. Since the news broke a few months ago, four individuals have come forward to corroborate the story, and two more pieces of evidence were unearthed that add validity to the claim: Reade’s late mother’s CNN appearance shortly after the assault and the court records that document Tara’s ex-spouse discussing harassment in Biden’s office.

Despite the mounting evidence against Joe Biden, though, he has refused to drop out of the presidential race, even though his continual run will further alienate progressives and those who actually prescribe to the #MeToo Movement, as many of us simply cannot stomach voting for the “lesser of two rapists”. What is more, Biden is refusing to allow the American people to review his trove of old Senate records, currently locked up at the University of Delaware, which may contain an official copy of Reade’s original harassment complaint. …

Powerful men have, traditionally, been able to get away with committing atrocious acts without being questioned or investigated, let alone punished. While a small sliver of powerful men are finally living with the consequences of their actions, most notably Harvey Weinstein, many guilty men are still out there, enjoying freedom from scrutiny.

One of these men is former vice president Joe Biden, a man who has been accused of sexual harassment by seven women and assault by an eighth, Tara Reade. …

As the American people are confronted, yet again, with two utterly disgusting choices between the Democratic and Republican parties leading up to the November general election, many of us are deciding to take the bold move and explore supporting a third-party presidential candidate. Many progressives in particular, who cannot fathom voting for the “lesser of two rapists”, have taken an interest in the Green Party presidential nominations process to determine who will become the standard-bearer for the progressive party heading into the presidential election.

The Green Party will select their ultimate nominee in July, but the three officially-recognized candidates, as per the party’s website, are Howie Hawkins, Dario Hunter, and David Rolde. At least based on my casual observations of the Green Party presidential primaries, Howie Hawkins, one of the founders of the Green Party, appears to have the upper hand, generating the most enthusiasm. …

It seems like only yesterday that Bernie Sanders, who had strong showings in the Iowa caucus, New Hampshire primary, and the Nevada caucus, was poised to finally take the Democratic Party in a progressive direction and become the party’s nominee. Unfortunately, though, the Democratic Party establishment reared its ugly head, coalescing around Joe Biden in order to prevent Sanders from threatening their political power.

As I have thoroughly documented, Joe Biden is a terrible politician who should be no where near the Oval Office. His record on pretty much every major issue has been a major disappointment, and his neo-liberal, corporatist, warhawkish activism in the Senate and Obama’s White House have had a substantial negative impact on the lives of millions of Americans. Couple this with his long history of lying to the American people, willingness to flip-flop for political gain, inability to answer questions coherently, and strong opposition to progressive objectives, and you have a recipe for a terrible candidate that many progressives are simply unable to support, even when the alternative is Trump. …

A few days after it was confirmed that Tara Reade’s mother called in to Larry King’s CNN show in 1993 to ask for advice regarding the problems that her daughter was experiencing with her boss, Senator Joe Biden, two individuals have come forward to corroborate Reade’s story that she was sexually assaulted by the presumptive Democratic nominee.

The first new witness is Reade’s former neighbor, Lynda LaCasse, who lived next door to her in the 1990s. Below are snippets of what she told Business Insider:

“I remember her saying, here was this person that she was working for and she idolized him, and he kind of put her up against a wall. And he put his hand up her skirt and he put his fingers inside her. She felt like she was assaulted, and she really didn’t feel there was anything she could do…she was crying [when telling the story]…she was upset. And the more she talked about it, the more she started crying. I remember saying that she needed to file a police report…I don’t remember all the details. I remember the skirt. I remember the fingers. …

For anyone who has listened to Joe Biden speak at any point within the last few years, it should be blatantly obvious that something is wrong. Unfortunately, it seems quite clear that the former vice president is suffering from dementia or some other form of cognitive decline.

What evidence do we have for this? Obviously, I am not a cognitive health expert, but based on Biden’s extensive recent history of rhetorical gaffes, his frequent inability to piece together multiple thoughts into a coherent sentence, and his litany of embarrassing interviews that clearly demonstrate that he is not ready to be our next president, we can conclude that his cognitive health is in decline. …
